In today's research environment, brainstorming and working together on research projects are key elements of successful research. However, it is important to keep ideas and data confidential so that they don't become publicly available until the work is completed. The Conoted app offers ways to securely share notes and ideas in a private environment.

If you don't make notes public, they will only be seen by you and the users with whom you have shared these notes through step 3 (Connect people).

Benefits of using Conoted

The Conoted app is designed with researchers and scientists in mind, providing easy-to-use tools for managing notes, sharing ideas, and discussing projects together. Here are a few key benefits:

1. Confidentiality and security: All notes in Conoted are private by default, ensuring your ideas are kept safe.

2. Access Control: You can only share notes with colleagues of your choice.  You can also control their access rights - you can disconnect any user from your notes at any time.

3. Collaborative discussion of projects without unnecessary flooding like in other messengers: The ability to collaboratively discuss notes allows you and your colleagues to effectively work on projects in real time.

4. Note structuring: Conoted helps you organise your notes by topic (tags), creating a handy knowledge base.

Steps for brainstorming and collaboration

1. Create private notes

By default, all notes in Conoted are private. Start by creating notes that contain ideas and suggestions for your research project.

- Create a note describing your idea or suggestion.

- Step 1: Tags. The recommendation system will prompt you to enter tags to easily organise and find notes by topic.

- Step 2: Linking notes. The recommendation system will suggest other notes (yours and other authors' public notes) on your topic to complement your ideas on your chosen topic.

2. Share notes with selected colleagues

You can share your private notes with selected users.

- Step 3: Find and tick the users with whom you want to share a note.

3. Storing and structuring information

Conoted helps to structure all project information, creating a unified knowledge base.

- All notes are organised by topic (tags) for easy retrieval and use.

- Linked to other notes by topic

- And connected to the right users

Conclusion

Conoted provides researchers and academics with convenient and secure tools for brainstorming, sharing ideas and building a collaborative knowledge base on projects.
